Lift heavy. Fight sharp. Show up.
Gulf Iron is a strength and conditioning gym with a boxing corner right on Tamiami Trail. We opened in 2019 and we have been packed with people who like their work ever since. No frills, no crowds, no gimmicks. Just heavy barbells, honest coaching, and a crew that shows up early.
Open Mon-Fri 5am-9pm · Sat-Sun 7am-6pm · 555-014-7328
How it works
Walk in anytime
Come by whenever we are open. First look is free. Meet a coach, check the platforms, look at the bags. Nobody clocks you at the door.
Tell us what you are chasing
Strength, conditioning, boxing, or general health. Say it straight and we will aim you the right way. If you do not know yet, that is fine too. We will figure it out together.
Start where you are
Empty bar, light kettlebell, or a heavy bag. Everyone starts somewhere. Ask for help and you will get it. No one watches you struggle.
Show up next time
That is the program, really. Consistency beats intensity every time. The 5am crew, the lunch crowd, the night owls. There is a seat for you in any of them.
From Palmetto to Lakewood Ranch
We sit right on Tamiami Trail, so nobody has a long excuse. Twenty minutes from anywhere in the 941. Fifteen if you drive like Ray.
If you can get here for five in the morning, you can get here for anything.

Is there a day pass?
Yeah. Twenty bucks, straight up. Come try a session before you commit to anything.
I have never touched a barbell. Is that a problem?
No. That is most people's first day. You will start with an empty bar or light dumbbells until the movement feels right. The coaches have taught plenty of raw beginners, and they all get strong eventually.
What are the hours?
Mon-Fri 5am to 9pm. Sat-Sun 7am to 6pm. Early birds and night owls both covered. On holidays we close around noon and post it on the door.
What is First Class Friday?
Free group class, first Friday of every month, open to the whole neighborhood. No RSVP, no email list. Just show up a few minutes early.
